This taintless beauty is the origin of Beas River, which is believed to be the water body where Sage Vyas use to take bath while he meditated. The trek begins from Solang Nallah which is known for skiing and paragliding. Mesmerising meadows of Dhundi and Bakarthach will be a part of your trail on this trek. Majestic peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Shitidhar, and Seven Sisters will be your companion on this trek. One can see the collection of rare photographs of the Nationalist movement, the personal moments of the Nehru-Gandhi family and her childhood. The Qutub Minar at Delhi is the tallest minaret in the world made up of bricks. The Minar is surrounded by several historically significant monuments of the Qutab complex, including Quwat-ul-Islam Mosque, which was built at the same time as the Minar, and the much older Iron Pillar of Delhi.
The Beas Kund trek starts from Solang Valley. The 12 km route from Manali Bus Stand to Solang Valley takes you past Palchan Village. As you enter Solang Valley, the trail gets more scenic with pine forests and mountains around. From here, follow the road till reach the bridge which connects the Rohtang Tunnel. Beside the bridge, find a road that goes down to the left. On the right hand side of this road River Beas flowing amidst many boulders. From here, it is a 10 minute walk to first campsite Dhundhi.
Here will not be crossing the river at this point. Just stay on the same side of the river, on the right hand side of the valley beside the Beas River. Cross the stream and you have reached the next campsite Lohali. Lohali is a scenic campsite surrounded by mountains, it makes an ideal camping spot. Start early to trek a height of around 1798 feet. With the distance being just around 1.6 km it is a steep ascent to Beas Kund.
Manali- Vashist Temple in Manali is dedicated to sage Vashisht, the Kula guru of Lord Rama in the village Vashisht across the River Beas. It is among the most famous places to visit in Manali. The village of Vashisht was named after Rishi Vashisht one of the seven sages of Hindu. The Vashisht Hot Water Spring is one of the famous attractions of this region. The hot springs is believed to have medicinal value. The springs are said to cure many skin diseases. Many people go to the Vashisht baths to take a dip and rid themselves of skin infections and diseases.
